Hello! Layle here with you today :)
With that title up there, you probably think I've lost my mind. Yes, I do realize it's October and December is still more than 45 days away! With that said, if you're planning on creating a December Daily™ album this year, now's the perfect time to start thinking about it! If you're not familair with the December Daily concept, it was started by Ali Edwards in 2007 as an album project that documents the 25 days leading up to Christmas; you can read more about it here on Ali's blog.
Join me this week, along with several members of our design team, as we share our December Daily albums to help you get your creative juices flowing, all using our popular SN@P! Binders.
Our SN@P! Binders are perfect for December Daily albums! They're manageable at a 6x8 size, while still giving you plenty of room to play on the pages. They come in 7 great colors - pink, teal, brown, black, orange, green and red. Better yet, they come with 10 Pocket Pages (divided page protectors ) in 5 different styles, 3 chipboard divider pages and eight 6"x8" pages that color coordinate with the color on the binder spine!
This coming December will by my 6th year of doing a December Daily album!! If you've done one before (or attempted to do one - and if you fall in that category, you know exactly what I mean when I say attempted!), you'll agree with me that it can be a lot of work to keep up with documenting each day during
the month. But when I'm done, I'm always so glad that I did it! Heck, even my
teenage boys love
going through each album every year when we're putting out our holiday
decorations, and that has to mean something, right ;) You can click on my blog here and view each of my December Daily albums since 2008 (look for them along the right hand side of my blog).
Here's the cover of my December Daily album from last year & a few of my favorite inside pages -
I used our teal 6x8 SN@P! Binder as the base of my album and sprayed some white mist directly onto the kraft cover.
Our youngest son was born on December 4th, so his birthday is the subject on the 4th every year in my albums. I used one of the journal pages that's included in the SN@P! Binder as the base of my page-
For this page, I used one of the 3x4/4x6 Pocket Pages included in the SN@P! Binder. I added stickers to the top of the left 3x4 pocket and put nothing behind it - it's kind of fun when you can see through to the next page!
For this page I cut a snowflake transparency and layered it on top of the page for day 15 -
I'm all over the board with what I do in my albums each year - different sizes, different shapes, some pages with lots of journaling telling the story, others with little to no journaling, some pages take me a while to put together, and others like the one below only take a few minutes -
A lot of times I use things in my albums that are not scrapbooking products. For this page I used the Christmas card that my mom sent us - it was a gate fold card with the greeting inside.
I covered the greeting and her note in the center with a photo and then added journaling and patterned paper to the flaps.
Geez, now I guess it's time to take my own advice and start planning my 2013 December Daily, right?! Off to add that to my 'to do' list :)
Thanks for letting me share my 2012 December Daily album with you. Check in tomorrow as I share some December Daily albums submitted to us by several different scrapbookers!
And hey, if you've created a December Daily (or similar) album using one of our SN@P! Binders, I'd love to see it and add it to our Pinterest "December Daily with Simple Stories" board! Link me up to your album in the comments!
Am planning on getting a green Snap album for my Dec Daily but you have to be quick to get them as they sell out so fast here!! LOL. Can't wait to get started on it though. :)

Beth N - we don't sell that particular transparency; however, all of our Collection Kits include 4x6 transparencies. You could punch holes along the 6" side and insert in your album - that would be fun, too!
