December Daily™ with Simple Stories - Day 4

It's Kelly Goree here to share with you my December Daily™ album featuring our fabulous [email protected]! binders & Pocket Pages and  goreous December Documented collection.

Now before I get started I have to confess up front that this is my FOURTH attempt at a December Daily™ album. Yes, I've tried 3 separate times to make one of these and truly have loved each and every one of them. But if you judged the month of December based on MY albums, you'd swear that the month only had 6 days! Yes. That's totally my way of saying that I haven't completed a. single. album.

SO. This year I'm going to change all that with the help of Simple Stories to get me motivated ;) The pre-coordinated collection, the pocket pages and this adorable [email protected]! binder in the NEW color of BLACK (#4022) are going to make it [email protected]! 

I kept it really simple for the cover. I used my Silhouette to cut out the "2013" from the Blue Snowflake/Chevron paper (#3516) and let the beautiful kraft color of the album come through. Just a few of our fundamental stickers (#3502)and some candy dots and it's done!

I have to admit that I do love a bit of texture so I added just a touch of twine to the spine - a pretty ribbon would look great too. It's December and things are meant to be pretty and sparkly so do be afraid to doll things up if you want!

For my intro page I used the [email protected]! Pages (#3564) Merry and added some more of the fundatmental stickers and even my favorite snowflake punch which I strung on some twine.

I always like to include a little bit about what this album is about so to do that, I trimmed one of the interior pages that came with the album into a banner and ran it straight through my printer. LOVE that. A punched kraft circle with some more fundamental and expressions stickers (#3503) and it was done. 

And because I am a paper conservationist, I hate to see anything go to waste so I kept the 2013 from the front cover and used it here! 

And as always, I love love love the divided page protectors! It makes it so easy to do things quickly. I also love finding ways to include the day of the month but as part of the layout. Here it's on the tag. Below it's on the circle sticker. 

And I am a huge fan of putting things OUTSIDE your page protectors , too! I love the look of dimension but don't want to stretch out the pages, so on top workds beautifully! I did that for both the circle "Trimming the Tree" sticker as well as the candy dots on the tree!

I think I've got a good headstart on this for this year (fingers crossed) and I can't wait to be back again later and share some of the filled pages with you!
