Hi there, Layle with you today for another round of Pick a Card, Any Card!
Each month, 5 of our design team
members and I will be picking one of our favorite Simple Stories or SN@P! 3x4
or 4x6 cards and sharing them with you - in more ways than one! We've
introduced so many GREAT cards over the last few years that I thought it would
be fun to share some of our favorite cards each month, tell you why they're our
favorites and then give you a chance to win not only the specific cards that we
picked, but the other cards they're paired up with as part of the set (more on
that fun giveaway at the end of this post)!
To kick off this month's version of Pick a Card, Any Card, here's one of my favorites -
This 4x6 card is from our new Love SN@P! Set that we introduced as part of our CHA Summer release. (Incidentally, we just started shipping all 8 of our new SN@P! Sets to retailers, so keep your eyes peeled at your local scrapbook store and/or favorite online retailer!!!) I love the simplicity of this card! Chalkboard is such a trendy design element in scrapbooking right now, so it certainly has THAT going for it. I love the blank space to the left of the sentiment - perfect for adding a small photo. I have plans to use this card VERY soon :)
Next up is Kay Rogers with this 3x4 card from our Say Cheese collection -
When I asked Kay why she chose this card, she said -
I love this pie chart card. It's probably the math teacher in me, but I love thinking of the categories you could place in the chart. This is a 3x4 card that's designed to be used by itself, but I love the idea of using it with the other diagonal 3x4 card attached as well. SN@P! has made the process of documenting so much easier for me! How about you?
So, I'm certainly NOT a math teacher(!) like you Kay, but I too love the pie chart!
Marie Lottermoser chose this 4x6 card, also from our Say Cheese collection -
When
I asked Marie why she chose this card, she said -
I truly love everything about this card from the pretty blue and red color combination, to the inspirational quote by Walt Disney. Add that to the cute cloud graphic in the background, and this card just makes me smile.
AH! This is one of my favorite cards, too! In fact, it was going to be my pick for next month. Looks like I'll be picking another card, eh?!
Next up is Kelly Goree with this 3x4 card from our new Him SN@P! Set (also shipping now!) -
Boys are the story of my life - I live with three boys, a husband and even a male dog. So this one little card says it all for me! Not to mention that I am a sucker for chevrons and the orange and aqua and blue color combo! I know I at least need this card in triplicate!!
I'm right there with you, Kelly! With two boys, a husband and even two male cats, I'm thinking I see a LOT of the Him SN@P! Set in my future ;)
Kim Holmes selected not one, but TWO 3x4 cards from our Love SN@P! Set -
When I pointed out that she had selected two, this was Kim's response -
Yes, I know....I have picked 2 cards, but you just can't have one of these without the other! I love this set because after 28 years of marriage, my husband and I can still say the same words but mean two different things! These will make the perfect page to document that strange phenomenon!
Congrats on 28 years, Kim! I hear you on saying the same thing, and meaning 2 different things - MEN!
We wrap it up this month with Melissa Stinson's favorite 3x4 card, also from the Him SN@P! Set -
This is Melissa's current favorite card because -
I love this card because it describes me perfectly- high energy! I'm always moving, going, and doing as long as I'm awake, and I don't stop until I literally fall into bed.
I'd love to bottle some of your energy, Melissa!
So, what do you think? How about those picks - pretty fun, right?!

OK, now to more good stuff. At the beginning of this post I mentioned something about a giveaway! Leave a comment on this post by end of day Friday, October 4th (WHAT! October already?!!) telling me which of our 6 cards is your favorite and why. On Sunday the 6th I'll draw one random lucky winner to win ALL of these cards -
WOW! That's a lot of card goodness if I do say so myself. Good luck!
I also live in a house of boys. Five in fact, so I love the "Oh Boy"card too.I don't know how many times a day I say "oh boy"! I love the colour combo too. I can't wait till they arrive in Australia!!!

So fun!!!!
Posted by: Julie Tucker-Wolek | September 28, 2013 at 05:24 AM
Yep, almost October. And not long ago we were making summer plans.
The second one is my choice - cause there is a place to write. Or maybe the third one - cause it's pretty.
Posted by: Stokely | September 28, 2013 at 06:15 AM
I'd pick Melissa's High Voltage card--as long as I can get some of her bottled energy too!! ;-)
Posted by: Cynthia | September 28, 2013 at 08:29 AM
My favorite is that first You + Me = Love card, so sweet!
Posted by: Miriam Prantner | September 28, 2013 at 09:54 AM
My favourite is the first one - the chalkboard card saying "you + me = love". I do like the chalkboard trend and I like that there is enough space on the card to add a picture of me and my love or to add some writing :)
Posted by: Kathleen | September 28, 2013 at 11:07 AM
I love the He said She said cards as I have both a son and a daughter with very different views on the world! :)
Posted by: Sonja Hunter | September 28, 2013 at 11:24 AM
Loving that pie chart, so many ways to use it. I would document how my time is spent on any given day.

I like Marie's card
Posted by: Debbie Ford | September 28, 2013 at 11:34 AM
My favorite is the Walt Disney Quote Card...I love the cloud but my favorite part of it is the heart at the end of the quote. Since we are fans of all things Disney (we even got married at a Disney resort!), this one really pulls at me.
Posted by: Christine W. | September 28, 2013 at 11:37 AM
Marie's card is my favourite - I love the quote and it is oh so true!
Posted by: Melanie G | September 28, 2013 at 11:39 AM
I love the chalkboard you + me = love. Just my style:)
Posted by: Jamie Greene | September 28, 2013 at 11:49 AM
You + me= love! Definitely!
Posted by: DeDe | September 28, 2013 at 11:50 AM
I like the Chalkboard card that says you + me = love. It kind of brings me back to when I was little and we used to write notes asking if someone liked you and you had to check off the yes or no box. These cards should spark feeling in order for them to be truly special.
Posted by: Nicole Poirier | September 28, 2013 at 11:53 AM
You + Me = Love
So cute!
Posted by: Cindy Trimble | September 28, 2013 at 11:58 AM
♡ the "He said, She said" cards from the Love SN@P! Set .
Love how I can dictate our promises to each other; or even just those simple words that we say to each other that would make us smile. (;

Posted by: Terrilyn Moore-Taylor | September 28, 2013 at 01:08 PM
I love the first one because I'm working on my wedding scrapbook right now :) Wish there were more varieties of the 6x8 pages :( Can't use 4x6 vertical cards in my spreads without using a whole empty pocket.
Posted by: Jocelyn | September 28, 2013 at 01:10 PM
How to choose? I'm gonna go with the last one. Perfect for my boys!!!
Posted by: Jessica | September 28, 2013 at 01:36 PM

Posted by: Deb Wohlleben | September 28, 2013 at 06:37 PM
I like the she said one, you can fill out what ever you want, plus it reminds me of the guys at work who are always saying "That's what she said".....

My favourite is Kay's choice from "Say Cheese" collection because I love the colours (which go with anything, especially masculine moments), the stripes and the bullet points which have room to journal key words :)

I love Kim's choice of cards - not only for the cute cards themselves, but also for the reason! :) How true it is that one thing I say comes out so differently than what my hubby will say!
Thanks for the chance to win! Love Simple Stories!
