Hello, friends! It's Jill Cornell here with you on this beautiful Saturday to share a Smarty Pants collection layout with you. My post today is somewhat bittersweet because it highlights a milestone in my daughters' lives - their first day of preschool. We made a somewhat last minute decision to spend them to preschool and of course, I had to take photos to document their first day. I have a feeling I am going to get a lot of use out of the Smarty Pants collection this year!
Oh, my heart! ;) One of my favorite embellishments Simple Stories is including in their collections are the Sn@p Cuts. I chose the apple card and made a pocket out of vellum that I stitched closed after placing punched confetti and sequins inside. Then I adhered the pocket behind the card and embellished it with chipboard, stickers and a brad.
This was an easy section to embellish. I simply matted my photo with a piece of patterned paper I cut from the 6x8 Photo Mat Elements patterned paper and then added stickers and chipboard here and there.
Finally, here's a little hint! I really liked the look of the Swiss Cheese punch I used to create my confetti so I simply made a photo mat out of the negative space the punch created. So easy!

Super cute! Love your little grouping of embellishments in the right-hand corner and how you used the punched confetti behind the apple card. :)
