Pick a Card, Any Card

Hi there, Layle with you today for another round of Pick a Card, Any Card!

Each month, 5 of our design team members and I will be picking one of our favorite Simple Stories or SN@P! 3x4 or 4x6 cards and sharing them with you - in more ways than one!  We've introduced so many GREAT cards over the last few years that I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite cards each month, tell you why they're our favorites and then give you a chance to win not only the specific cards that we picked, but the other cards they're paired up with as part of the set (more on that fun giveaway at the end of this post)!

To kick off this month's version of Pick a Card, Any Card, here's one of my favorites -

This is a 3x4 card from our new Everyday SN@P! Set that we introduced as part of our CHA Summer release.  It's a bit of a tease at this point because you won't be able to get your hot little hands on the new SN@P! Sets until late September, but forgive me - I couldn't help myself!  I've been playing around a bit with the cards from the Everyday SN@P! Set and I just love them - the colors, the designs - what's not to love?!  This card is so versatile and can be used for so many things - photos of people, places, even things.  The different colors make it easy to use alongside any photo, regardless of the colors.  And I happen to think view finders and their disks are cool.  And yes, I did have one as a child.  And yes, that DOES date me :)

Next up is Donna Jannuzzi with this 4x6 card from our new Smarty Pants collection -

When I asked Donna to tell me why this card was the apple of her eye, she said -

I don't consider myself a trendy scrapbooker, but I have to say, I really love all the chalkboard style scrapbooking items that are popular right now. And how appropriate that they would be included in the new Smarty Pants collection! I find this particular card so cute because of its cursive font (in the exact style I learned as a child) and the three little apples sitting in a row on the bottom. I will definitely find a way to use it on a layout sometime this school year.

Emily Lanham chose this 4x6 card from our SN@P! Cards - Life set as her current favorite -

When I asked Emily why she chose this card, she said -

This is one of my all time favorite quotes. It's one that everyone should live by. One reason I love the SN@P! cards is because of the everyday life quotes that we all can relate to. These can be used in so many different types of projects. This one in particular, I have on a colorful canvas hanging in my office to look at every day.

Emily is right - if you haven't checked out the SN@P! Life cards with their great quotes, you should!

Next up is Gail Lindner with this 3x4 card from our new Say Cheese collection -

I love cards with a banner printed right on them that I can layer up! I love adding more strips, thread or stitching, chipboard shapes/stickers right over the top to add dimension! And I love the blank cards that I can add a photo, journaling or title on!

Like Gail, I love cards that have empty space on them for adding photos, and especially journaling, and this card is perfect for that!

I love the fact that some of the 4x6 SN@P! Cards can be used as titles.  The fonts and graphics on the cards are big enough to use as a title.  The Sn@p cards have to be my favorite cards Simple Stories has put out.  I love this card because of the fun way the title is displayed, all of the bright colors and the title is perfect for a lot of my photos.  

LIFE, and this card, are pretty amazing (don't you think?)!

This card comes from our new December Documented collection.  This is Jill's current favorite because -

The quote is from one of my absolutely favorite Christmas movies, Elf. I make sure to watch it several times over the holidays. The card would be perfect with a photo of my family watching the movie this year.

My absolute favourite card is the one saying "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass - it's about dancing in the rain!" because..well, it is!! First I love rain and being out in the rain (except when I need to get somewhere :D ) and I think it reminds us to see the positive in all things! :)

My favorite card is "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass - it's about dancing in the rain!" as it's a reminder that as hard as life may be, it's still ongoing and there for us to enjoy. As the mom of a special needs child, we have a lot of "storms", and if I waited for every one to pass, I'd miss out on a lot! Besides, overcoming those storms makes the sun shine brighter than ever :)
