Hello Simple Stories fans, Layle here with you today :)
Starting today, I'll be introducing you to a new guest designer on a monthly basis. This month I'm excited to introduce you to Julie Johnson!
Julie has worked in the industry designing and teaching for some time. Almost four years ago,
with the nudging and support of family and friends, she started her own
online kit club business - Paisleys and Polka Dots. This is how we know Julie at Simple Stories, and let me tell you, she has quite the audience of fans in our office! She does AMAZING work with Simple Stories products :)
She's created a FABULOUS mini album and two page layout for her July kit using our I Heart Summer collection that I'm thrilled to share with you - in more ways than one ;) Here are some shots of her project; you'll want to make sure to read down to the end of the post to see how else we're going to share this with you!
How cute are those flip flops she created for the cover?!
Here's a look at the tag on the page opened up - so clever! Allows for even more photos!
Then there's the 2 page layout she created with room for lots more photos!
Don't you just LOVE Julie's work?! Well, here's your chance to love it even more....
Julie has graciously offered one random lucky winner the July Paisleys and Polka Dots kit featuring everything pre-cut and packaged for you to recreate this fun mini album and two page layout! YAY!
To enter, simply leave a comment on this post by midnight MT, Friday July 5th, telling us what you have planned for the rest of your summer. We'll draw one random lucky winner and announce here on the blog on Sunday, July 7th! Good luck!
About Paisleys and Polka Dots
Paisleys and Polka Dots is a non-subscription monthly kit club that is a
little different from the rest. Maybe
you find yourself in need of some inspiration, you are too busy and need
something quick and easy, or you just can’t figure out those cutting instructions
from a pre-designed kit. Paisleys and
Polka Dots take the guess work out of designing, so they are perfect for
beginners, but also detailed enough for the seasoned scrapper to appreciate.
All kits are pre-cut and packaged by page, so there is no more guessing what
goes where. Their kits are also perfect
for crops; grab a few of your tools and supplies and you are good to go. New kits are released at the beginning of
each month and there is no subscription to join, so you choose only the kits
you like.
Visit Paisleys and Polka Dots at www.paisleysandpolkadots.com and on their blog at www.luv2createscraps.typepad.com/paisleysandpolkadots.
The remainder of my summer begins with a trip to Arkansas to see my daughter that is expecting and who has been on extensive bed rest. I will make a trip this week and again the end of the month to bring her 2 kids to our house.
We hope to take all of the grandchildren to Branson if we can coordinate due to high school sports for the two oldest. They have daily conditioning and summer games.
Back to Arkansas when the new one arrives. Due in Sept and we hope she makes it to the end of August.
I am working on monthly photo albums for my daughter and daughter in law.

As I write this, my kids and I are on a bus to the airport for a flight home. We've been enjoying vacation in Disney World!
So, for the rest of the summer, my kids have camps - art, band, and a "wizard" camp, and we'll be spending time at our local water park and movie theater. June has already flown by, so I know the rest of the summer will too!
Thanks or the chance to win! Julie sounds like a fun and talented lady. :)

Every summer my daughters, grandkids and I make up our Summer Fun list. Everyone contributes to the list and we try to do a fun activity each week; going to our city's attractions, pool days, overnights, etc. It's a tradition with us and we love it. Your album would be perfect to document our summer fun activities.

First, I plan to spend some time recovering from sinus surgery that I had last week. Then, besides teaching summer school, mowing the lawn, and enjoying a couple of (hopefully) snow-free months here in MN, I plan to scrap a trip we took a couple of weeks ago. We took our 11 year old niece to Epcot and I have almost 1000 pix of the fun!!! ( I know ... Did I get to see anything except through the lens?) Finally, as always, I plan to spend some quality time with my "dogters" Dinky (a beautiful Lhasa apso) and Riley (a rambunctious Brussels griffon/Shih you mix). Thanks for asking! :-)

I am working at a Micheal's as their Scrapbook Instructor. So I will need all
the inspiration I can get. Thanks for the first idea!
