Good Morning! This has been my first year to do a December Daily and I am wondering why I waited so long! The concept is amazing and I have been enjoying keeping my camera close at hand to capture the little moments of this holiday season as we get closer and closer to Christmas! Teaming up with Maya Road has been fantastic. Their wonderful embellishments make the perfect partner for the 25 Days of Christmas Collection from Simple Stories.
Knowing how busy I would be in December, I preplanned my whole book, making it super easy to just add in my photo and embellishments. I started out with this wonderful 3-Ring Square Round Tab Book from Maya Road:
To make my December Daily, I combined two of these minibooks and exchanged the smaller rings for larger ones that would handle all my pages. That allowed me to have one page for every day and a few extra pages at the end to showcase more photos from Christmas Day. It worked out perfect!
For my cover, I covered one of the ATC Coasters with paper to add dimension and give me a safe place for my Crystal Star Trinket Pins. Chipboard is the perfect solution to safequard against those sharp points of the pins.
Then I went ahead and got all the inside pages ready for my photos! I covered the outside edges of each page with random prints from the 25 Days of Christmas Collection. Then, I punched out 2 different sized circles and layered them with these wonderful Wood Bingo Calendar Numbers from Maya Road:
At this point every page was ready to add a picture, journaling and embellishments! The wonderful sticker sheets, alphabet sheets, and paper designs made this final step so easy!
Inside the front cover:
Memory 1 - The one thing I love about the December Daily is that there are no rules. You can create a custom memory book full of whatever you want to document. That means, if you have 3 memories from one day and nothing special from another day, you can still make your book work. It my mind, it is going to hold 25 special memories of this Christmas season, not necessarily one from each day of the month!
We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary this year and it is definitely a memory that I want to include in my December Daily even though it was on November 29th. So, that is my first memory. That tag actually slips behind the photo so all that you can see is the handle of the tag. I am going to use these tags randomly through my book to add in an extra photo, some journaling or even a special memento from that day. They are created by using one of the Kraft Mini Tickets from Maya Road as the handle of the tag. I have added a small embellishment to the top with a small flower punch and Trinket Buttons.
What you see here is a photo of the envelope my daughter gave us with a dinner gift certificate inside. The other side of the tag contains some private journaling.
Memory 2 - Putting our Christmas lights on the house has always been a job for the guys in the family. This year, all three of the boys worked together - with a little help from Cooper!
Memory 3 - All the Christmas Decoration boxes stacked up and ready!
Memory 4 - We spent the day at Luke's first real school competition. The First Lego League Competition was so fun to watch and Luke was thrilled to be part of it!
Memory 5 - We spent the evening decorating the tree, sipping hot cider, listening to Christmas Carols, and just hanging out together. The Christmas tree is set on a timer and I love how it greats me each and every morning when I wake up!
Once in awhile, I end up with a photo that I just love...that is what happened this year while we were decorating the tree. I added it to my tag along with some journaling on the back side.
Memory 6 - Ahh...the kids under the tree photo as soon as the decorations are done. It is definitely getting easier to take this photo as the kids get older, but I think I would take the chaotic days of trying to get 7 kids to smile all at once!
Memory 7 - My closet is Santa's hiding place for all the gifts collected through the year. By December is is packed so full that I can barely get to my clothes! My shoes have been displaced and now reside in my husband's closet!
Memory 8-10 - These memories are in the making and I will share them with you next week during my second installment! Be sure to follow along all month as we share our journeys using Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas and Maya Road goodies! For details on how you can win a great prize - see the introduction post!

Aw, this was a very nice post. In concept I want to put in writing like this moreover – taking time and precise effort to make an excellent article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and in no way appear to get one thing done.
