Hi, everyone! Teri here today with a Life Documented project! I'm excited to share with you a few pages I recently made with Simple Stories' Sn@p! products: Sn@p! Life; Sn@p! Embellishments; Sn@p! Cards; and Sn@p! Color Vibe.
Before we get started, let me tell you a little bit about my approach to pocket-page style memory keeping. A lot of my crafty friends use Pocket Pages to document every week in their lives. I don't do that.
I'm a bit of a free spirit when it comes to pocket-style pages. I typically make them when the mood hits me. So that means I'll do a page one week about some fun event I took part in and then maybe not create another page until a few weeks down the road. Like many of you, I lead a pretty busy life, and I don't always have a lot of time to sit down and scrapbook. So I really try to limit my pages to events, people and things I really, really, really want to remember.
So that leads me to my first set of pages. They are all about a color run I took recently took part in.
Talk about about a day I don't want to forget. Fr0m the nervous feeling of signing up for a 5K (my first one ever) to literally getting covered with color from head to toe on race day, I wanted to remember everything. The day was just so much fun! And I am pretty sure I smiled the entire time!
The number is my actual race bib. The "rad" word is a tattoo leftover from race day. And the picture with the blue background is of myself and my teammates! We called ourselves "Team Crafty" so I used letter stickers to spell our team name right on top of the picture.
I wanted my pages to have a little personality so I added a few extra touches to them, like punching holes in the blue polka dot card with a hole punch and then adding some circle stickers (and a brad) over some of the blue polka dots.
Another fun time I wanted to remember was a recent weekend spent with a good friend of mine.
These two pages cover the highlights of three days of fun with my friend. From the minute my friend arrived at my house to the minute he left, a bit of everything is covered on these two pages.
These pages include a few pictures, a parking pass (complete with the wrong year written on it!) and a lot of journaling!
I completed the majority of journaling on this spread with an old typewriter. And because the spread is so text heavy, I tried to bring in quite a bit of color to it by choosing some Sn@p cards in bright colors rather than just white ones.
I especially love the Seriously! card here from the Sn@p! Cards - 4x6 Fill in the Blanks pack because it has so many colors on it.
I also used embellishments to liven up the spread and try to downplay all that text. Here I made a border with circle stickers and brads.
I'll be using the 12x12 Sn@p! leather album in teal as the year goes on for many of my Life Documented projects! I love the color of the album, and that it has a ring binding system! Since I employ a free spirit philosophy when it comes to these pages, I dig that I can easily work on my pages for it out of order.
I used the Sn@p! 12x12 Pocket Pages Design 5 (4x6/4x3), Design 7 (4x6/ 6x12), Design 8 (6x8/4x6) and Design 10 (3x4/4x4) for my pages today. I love the variety of page styles Simple Stories offers. It's fun having so many options.
