We all know you don't need a themed collection to scrapbook a themed layout, but sometimes a themed layout actually requires a non-themed collection. For example....my kids on Halloween....they NEVER get dressed up in scary costumes! They always pick the cutesy costumes that consist of non-Halloween colors. Rarely do I get a Halloween picture with the typical black, orange or purple anywhere to be found. What's a scrapbooking, Halloween loving Mom to do? Piece together a Halloween layout from other fabulous Simple Stories collections of course:
I used bits from Harvest Lane and Take A Hike to piece together a non traditional Halloween layout. I cut some little pumpkin shapes with my Cameo and machine stitched around everything for an applique look.
I used the old roll a strip of paper around the pencil trick:
I hope you will consider piecing together some fun Simple Stories for your Halloween layouts this year!

Cute, and nicely done. I would have never put the blue papers on a Halloween page. Nice to step outside the box

I'm curious to find out what blog system you're utilizing? I'm having some small security issues with my latest blog and I'd like to find something more risk-free. Do you have any solutions?

The subsequent time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, however I really thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you can repair in the event you werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
