Hey everyone! It's Gail here today to give you 3 reasons why I looooove the Simple Stories 6x6 Paper Pads!
I am a 12x12 scrapper but I use these smaller paper all the time. I've just started planning my baby boy's first birthday party and I knew the Summer Fresh range would be my inspiration for the colour scheme - rustic red & blue. I found an idea on Pinterest and got to work.
I'm using papers from the 6x6 paper pad for my invitations. Now back to the title of this post, here are my three reasons why I love them!
1. A lot of border dies are card-sized and the smaller papers are perfect for die-cutting these smaller images. Here I used a chevron border die for an accent strip across the top of the invite.
2. The smaller prints are perfect for cutting out smaller sized shapes as you still get the full pattern effect! I created simple little envelopes to hold further party details out of the chevron paper. It wouldn't have been as effective if I'd used the larger print!
3. The 4x6 journaling cards shrink down to the perfect size for labels on envelopes! Cute! I just love dressing up envelopes! I even used the cardstock stickers to spell out the recipients' names. As I plan to hand out most of the invitations by hand, this will work well.
I have a few more crafty ideas up my sleeve for the party, stay tuned, I hope to share them on the blog also!

Such CUTE cards!! I love 6x6 pads because of the pattern size too. Sometimes the 12x12's are just too big!
