It's a Fabulous Day on the Blog

Simple Stories has a brand new collection called Fabulous and it is for all the girls in your lives.  Can you say fabulous gingham, fabulous pink and fabulous flowers, because that is what this collection is all about!  I couldn't be happier with a collection so fun to create pages about my "fabulous" daughter.  Might even make a "fabulous" page about myself...you get the point - LOL.

You can't really have fabulous without a bit of twine and miniature clothespins.  These are such fun colors to create with.  I love how you can use the bingo cards and journal cards to offset photos.  I'm very excited to continue to work with this collection.  The colors perfectly coordinate with the Year.o.graphy collection, so I used some of the stickers from that collection for my title.

CHA Photos and Reveal Week Winners!

{We're back...and we have winners and photos!}

Hello again...we're back from CHA and finally have a few minutes to post our booth photos and winners despite the after-CHA craziness.  We had an amazingly FABULOUS show - we met so many wonderful retailers.  Thank you so much to everyone - retailers and customers alike - who are so excited about our new product release.  It's hard to beleive that after just one year in the wholesale scrapbook industry our Simple Stories brand has grown so much! We truly could not do this without YOU and we are amazed and grateful everyday for your enthusiasm, excitement and support for Simple Stories products! Although we just got back, we're already working on new releases and products and have even more exciting things we're working on!!  :)

I love EVERY part of this collection! This is my new favorite. There isn't a piece I wouldn't use. When I look at this collection, I think about scrapping photos from my mother's childhood - the 40s and 50s but really it is versatile enough to scrap just about anything, color or B&W. Did I mention I love this? Just perfect!!

{Simple Storis CHA Booth}

Here's a few of the snapshots of our booth and products at CHA.  This was our first year that we were not in the new exhibitor section and we were beyond thrilled to show off our new logo, look and booth!  We think it turned out beautiful!  Our favorite is the wire and clips that showcased our unique signature elements and journaling pages...so fun!  We also had our back magnetic wall wrapped with our signature distress and fun, large graphics to show off the Simple Stories system.  It truly was an amazing show, with so much excitement and enthusiasm from our retailers.  The new Documented Album collection with the Mix & Match 6x8 album, This & That album pages and Odds & Ends memorabilia pockets was a hit!  So fun to show these off in person....

a FABULOUS time at CHA!

Hello there!  Kim here, home from a FABULOUS week at the Craft & Hobby Association tradeshow where I spent time with Kevin, Amber and the rest of the Simple Stories ladies in their FABULOUS booth! The new releases were the hit of the show of course because they were so FABULOUS!  Do you sense a theme here?  Well today I am going to share with you one of those new lines!

I can honestly say that I haven't had this much fun scrapbooking in a long time!  Everything about this line truly is FABULOUS - the color palette, the patterns, the element cards, the alphabets, EVERYTHING!

Hello Simple Stories friends! Emily here, typing this from my room at CHA in Anaheim. It's been a very busy show, lots of great new products out there! I'm working the Maya Road booth and keep hearing great things about Simple Stories, makes me proud to be a part of such a great company.

I wanted to share one of my booth layouts with you today. I used Pinterest for every layout I worked on, some turned out quite literal, others ended up with just a hint of the original piece. I found this pin from lovelystationary.com and although I'm not a huge fan of hexagons, I fell in love with the look of the design. I think it's actually a bunch of buisness cards laid out as examples, but I thought it would make a great layout. When I got my box of Simple Stories products, I knew I wanted to use as many of the papers from the Fabulous line as I could and this design worked so well with that plan. I made a template and traced the shapes, then cut them out and arranged as shown. The photo turned out to be the perfect one for this template too! Bonus!

Here's what I ended up with, I left a couple of the hexagons out so there'd be some resting places for the eye and a place to add a tiny bit of journaling. I love how it turned out. I loved both layouts I did with the Fabulous line, I share the other one later this month.
