{Simple} Fun!

Hi there!  Cari with you today.
I've got a couple of layouts to share with you and a fun little card as well.

As I was going through my photos I came across some of my boys and their cousin. I thought the colors went great with the 24/7 collection ... plus the theme of the whole collection was a good fit as well. I decided to create a more 'grid' style layout and cut various pieces of patterned paper forming 3 rows of paper and photos.

 I created the sombrero and #3 using my Cricut Expression 2, ....

... and used lots of fun stickers & chipboard embellishments from the 24/7 colleciton.

 

I then looked through my photos again and came across some pictures of my husband and boys playing in the pool while away on a mini summer vacation.  I decided to use Urban Traveler for this layout.

I love the rich colors in this collection and kept the circle theme throughout by cutting my photos into circular shapes as well.  (trust me ... this was no easy task as I haven't cut my photos up like that in a loooooong time! But I like how it turned out.)

I love the new embellishments (brads and layered stickers) as they add so much visual interest & texture to my projects.

I also created a little card using some of the 24/7 collection. (Love that little phone.)

Simple Love

Hi Simple Stories fans, Tonya here today to share a couple of new projects with you. I have two projects, a layout and a card. Both were made using the new 24/Seven line.

Aren't you all just in love with the new embellishments that Simple Stories came out with this last CHA? I was super excited for the brads and the chipboard. Simple Stories just gets better and better!

First up is my layout. I went with the 24/Seven theme and used that for my title work as well.

Used my Cameo to cut out the title and the arrows. Then went to town embellishing.

Next up is a quick card, once again I used my Cameo to create the base for this.

Isn't this collection one of the greatest? Love how gender neutral it can be and how it can really be so versatile!

Simply 24/Seven Everyday

Aren't you all LOVING the new Simple Stories collections? I can't get enough of 24/Seven. I could use it over and over for everything. And having all the extra goodies with these new collections makes them all the more fun!

 The mix of letter stickers and the addition of chipboard stickers make such fun titles:

 The brads? LOVE them! They add such great etxture and dimension.

 And layered stickers?  Total perfection! Last but not least, the 6x6 paper pads are not only great for card making. Here I used them to punch out butterflies to embelish my page. The smaller designs were perfect for the little row of butterflies!

Family Fun with New 24/7

It was so much fun to make these layouts of a vacation we took last spring with the Simple Stories 24/7 collection.  Our goal was to visit a different park each day of the break, so each page are photos from a different park.  I love the vibrant colors of the 24/7 collection.  It has the perfect combination of reds, greens, yellows and blues, which make bright, fun pages.

It is so much fun to break up the parts of this project into the different sized photo sleeves.  Working on the smaller sized backgrounds of 4 x 6 and 3 x 4 cards really allows you to focus on details without getting lost on a bigger canvas.

I like to mix and match alphabets to create a title, so I added both of the Simple Stories cardstock sticker alphas to these more dimensional cork letters from Little Yellow Bicycle.  They match the cork pattern in the 24/7 papers perfectly.

I also love the enormous ampersand on this 4x6 journal card, but I trimmed it down so I could back it with another patterned paper.  I also used the new Simple Stories Sn@p stamps to add the numbers 1,2,3 for interest.

I also used the new Sn@p Stamps to add this little calendar to this 3 x 4 journal card.  First I stamped the calendar on the grid paper and then trimmed it and added it to the cork paper.  A few cardstock stickers from the fundamental sticker page finishes it off.

These little notecards make it easy to add journaling in a jiff and I cut out the tab from this 3 x 4 journal card with a kraft knife and then overlapped the photo with it so the beautiful graphics could still be seen.

This is the other park we visited and my son was excited to pose next to this statue of a coyote.  Again it was fun to use the particular template so I could add photos of all of us and still have plenty of creative freedom and space to add journaling.

The cork alphabet looks even better against the darker patterned paper and matches beautifully with the colored cardstock letters.

Who doesn't love an old typewriter?  Adds a fun detail to the journal card, which I hand journaled and then added the sentiment "Now" with the cardstock alphabet stickers.

LOVE these cork scrabble tiles.  They add such a great texture and sentiment to the project.  Hope you found some inspiration from my ideas and will try the 24/7 collection to make your own memory project.

Just Me & My Grandma

Good morning! It's Jill here with a new layout to share with you using some of my favorite Sn@p products and the brand new embellishments (which I love!) Today's layout is all about my daughter Nora and her grandma. No, not either of her grandmas or her great-grandma but her imaginary grandma. Some kiddos have an imaginary friend but Miss Nora has an imaginary grandma. I caught her drawing a picture several weeks ago and asked her who it is was and she quickly answered "me and my gwandma." I knew immediately who she was referring to because she has been talking about her"gwandma" for months. Nora's "gwandma" lives in a yellow house and drives a yellow car, and Nora even has her sister in on the game because Lily also talks about "Nora's gwandma" all the time. If you ask what grandma's name is, Nora simply fires back "My OWN gwandma." Not Lily's, but hers. :)

Here I layered a sticker with one of the new chipboard embellishments and a new brad in the center.

I love mixing and matching the Sn@p alphabet stickers for my titles.

I am also really loving the new flair included with each collection. This Polaroid cut from patterned paper already had a heart on it so I simply covered it up with the flair button.


The entire Sn@p brand is perfect for capturing everyday moments and events. I know I will always cherish this layout of Nora and the story about her "gwandma."

Urban Traveling With SN@P

Greetings!  Shellye along today with a mix of Urban Traveler and SN@P to share!   We took the kids on a Spring Break cruise and I got a lot of great pictures that I wanted to scrap with Urban Traveler.  I made a collage of four photos into a single 4x6 print by using an app by www.photosheet.com

I lined up the photo with one of the artistic journaling cards and went from there in matting with a patterned paper.  The blue 'wavy' piece at the bottom was traced from a template by Kiwi Lane Designs. 

Along with a few die-cuts clouds and buttons from my stash, I created a trio of flags by attaching the SN@P stickers to a wooden toothpick and wrapping around the excess.  I attached them to the page by adding small foam squares to the back of each flag.

We had a vintage typewriter available at a retreat that I attended this past weekend...it came in sooo handy when I got ready to journal on one of the SN@P journal cards!  I just tucked one of the pockets behind my photo and then slid the card inside.

For the card I went with a simple design and color scheme.  I'm really loving the SN@P Small Dot and Striped papers together...can't you tell? :) I wrapped a light pink doily around the bottom of the pocket and glued in place.  To the top, I layered two different colored SN@P sticker tabs together.  A couple of embellishments added to the center and my card was complete!

a layout in record time

Hi all, it's Natasja here today.

Today I want to share this layout with you which I created in record time. It only took me 20 minutes!! Really it did, I couldn't believe it my self!

Never have I finished a layout in this short amount of time and I am sure I can only do it using those amazing Simple Stoeries releases!

I used the lovely new "Urban Traveler" release for it.

I'm in Bliss ... {Vintage} -style

Good morning!  Cari here sharing some layouts with you today.

When I received the Vintage Bliss collection I was in complete awe.  Now you must understand one thing, when it comes to scrapbooking I'm not normally a 'pastel' kind of person. Those aren't the colors that catch my eye.  However, this collection most certainly did.  The shades, color combinations (especially that turquoise my favorite color) really grabbed my attention.

So I decided to create some layouts with the beautiful new release.

The first layout that I want to share with you is called "Being Together".  It's about my daughter & me. I used the chevron patterned paper (Laugh Lots) for my background. I love the colors in that pattern!

I then cut up the 6x12 Page Elements (wood grain design) and adhered that to the right side of the page. I embellished with other patterned papers, 3x4 Journaling Card elements, 4x6 Vertical Journaling Card Elements and lots of stickers! 

I like adding dimension with pop dots so I've done some of that on this layout with the stickers. I also cut out the butterfly designs from the patterned papers (Be Happy and Wood/Butterflies).

The second layout that I created, "This is Us",  took me only 15 minutes to do!  From printing the photos to adding embellishments. How fun is that?! I've never created a page in that amount of time ... ever! Simple Stories makes it so easy to create pages in no time. Just think of how quickly you could create an album with pages that take this amount of time! Wow!

I just printed off 2x2 sized photos and adhered them on the page.  I added some stickers and cut out some mini bingo cards from the 6x6 paper page. Added my title and voila! DONE!

I also created this birthday card (for my daughter who will be 13 in a few months time).

I used an oval template and cut out a window to reveal the cut-out numbers (from Give Love) and sticker on the inside of the card.

Hello everyone! Donna here today to share a layout with you that I made using Urban Traveler:

Something that I absolutely love and appreciate about Simple Stories is that while they create products that are themed they really can be used for so many different types of stories and topics.  I decided to use this collection to scrapbook these two photos of my middle son riding his bike.  And really, this collection was a perfect fit with its bright colors and arrow motif.  Since the pictures weren't so great I decided to print them at 3x4 and also converted them to black and white.  Then I didn't have to worry about them clashing with all the colors on my page and was truly free to play with both the colors and patterns.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the title and used foam adhesive to add dimension to my page:

I tend to be a flat scrapper, and so this is an easy way to add something special to a layout.  I also backed the heart cutouts in the letters with red paper to help them stand out more in the design.  If you like this shape you can find it in the Silhouette Online Store, here.

Like the journaling says, it really is hard to tell how fast he was going from the photos - he is my fearless one!  But yeah, as long as he wears his helmet I try not to be overprotective about it.  Notice he still has training wheels though, maybe not so fearless...

Simple Stripes

Happy Tuesday! Tonya here to share a layout with you that uses the Take a Hike collection.

My husband is a big hunting/fishing nut. I was so excited when his fishing buddy emailed these photos of him ('cuz let's face it, men just don't think to take photos of themselves!!!!), and what better collection to use with this pictures?!!!

My original plan was for that striped title piece to go vertical down the left hand side of the layout. However, once I had all of the machine stitching done and tried to place my photos I decided that I wanted to turn it (for those of you that are super sleuths you may have realized that the background paper is turned the wrong way, but too much work had been done to start over, so I went with it!).

This title was super easy! I just cut strips of different pieces of the papers in the collection and then ran them through my xyron, then I adhered them to a strip of cream card stock, then ran it through my Cameo. Lastly I added some hand stitching to the large word (yes, that was a tad time consuming :) )

Used the stickers to create a little fishing scene along the bottom.
